About Wellington Masters
Wellington Masters Athletics membership is open to all athletes aged 35 and over.
The committee organises a number of events during the year:
Classic Relay - held at Trentham Memorial Park; teams of 5 runners or 4 walkers compete for a variety of trophies over a course loop of approx 4km.
Johnsonville Road Race - held in the streets adjacent to the Olympic Harriers clubrooms in Johnsonville, this event has been going strong for 25 years and is organized by Brian Watson. A hearty lunch is provided to all who compete or officiate.
10km Road Race - this doubles as the Masters' championship event and is held in Lower Hutt just around from Huia Pool.
Track & Field champs - usually held over two Sundays in February.
A quarterly (or thereabouts) magazine "The Master Copy" is sent out to all members. All contributions are appreciated and can be sent to John Palmer.
Membership is $45 per year (1 September thru 31 August). New members are always welcome – please print the form found on this site and send to Veronica Gould if you wish to become a member.
